No, not really, it's completely nonsensical in pretty much every case and adds nothing to the story aside from the protagonist getting to "show up" his previous party, which is just dumb, since either they were assholes from the start he shouldn't care about, or they actually had legitimate reasons to remove him, which he should understand. Absolute garbage, but it's an isekai trope so that goes without saying.
