The shitty thing is that it always adapts the first arc and never the follow up, I understand some stories were never finished and some arcs had cringe elements like Britain turning into a baby, but it's kinda boring to always see the same story over and over

Has Sho Aikawa done anything since? It's a shame that Concrete Revolutio wasn't more popular but I really cannot blame anybody from dropping it after those first two episodes and the writer co-writing the worst Garo anime around that time.

I guess because Shin Spirits translations are way behind and Spirits' ending doesn't really feel like an ending. Hopefully they pick up now that the is close to being finished, although the author implied that he'll make a sequel with another Rider.

I really liked the early and middle episodes of the Skull Man anime until the end where I found out it was a schizo prequel to Cyborg 009 and the story fell apart to account for 009 canon (supposedly). That was so disappointing. In my defense, I didn't know all that in advance because it was back in the day of finding random anime to watch with very little context.

Exact same thing happened to me, I was only able to watch a few episodes of 2001's Cyborg 009 and thought this would have nothing to do with that because the second longer Skullman Manga wasn't by Ishinomori and only crossovered with Kikaider which I had watched iirc.
