>>280728261 >The flowers in her hair come off as she prepares to swing >>280728632 >They're still gone when everything is fixed I hope this implies that they both still remember everything that just happened. Would suck if the reset also took away them reconciling their issues about Octo-chan trying to be the manic pixie dream girl she thought Yota wanted.
>>280729015 I think it's got some nice work with paneling and visual effects. He plays with the page really well. And the body-horror bits were actually really well done despite how weirdly he draws his human characters. Biggest issue was probably just trying to rely on the old Battle Royale formula. Took too long to really get into it properly with Carrot and Ichigo being the first fight that felt at all meaningful after 15 chapters.
Honestly, reminds me most of how MamaYuyu went. That was another case of the art being very unique in how it played with paneling and visuals, but it suffered from a very meh plotline that had potential for a lot of character stuff but no time to really establish it.
fucking editors/consumers not letting shit grow up...
gona miss this manga on saturdays, the art was great and the mangaka went ALL in, even to the last chapter.
great fucking visual allegory here >>280728414 she fucking destroyed him and also took him out of the manga, while leaving the rest of it in place, its not perfect, but it works.
>>280735226 >fucking editors/consumers not letting shit grow up... It's like they deliberately pick the more interesting stuff for the axe and then let boring shit run forever.
>>280736951 >the author drop Mamama as main character after 3 chapters is just wrong Yeah, when I realized it wasn't temporary I started to lose interest.
>>280737793 That's clearly what she's getting at. That she and the "Weakling Octo" are both still Octo-chan and she hopes he'll keep adventuring with her, even if not in a super supernatural way.
Which is still sad seeing how you can see right at the end she turns away so he won't see her crying before the world comes back together >>280728598
I've already said this before in other threads, but I am really satisfied with how the author managed to tie up the plot and characters together despite the axe and tell the point of the story. Many manga just give up while other manga just flail around despite having all the time.
