Do you judge someone extra hard if they have surface level tastes and they've been watching anime for over a decade?

No I simply try to educate them and hope they enjoy other shows as well.

I must admit I do. A friend's brother has been watching anime for like 25 years, but he still only watches the mainstream stuff, and has never read any manga. And he acts like he's some kind of expert. It's a bit annoying.

I only judge the retards who thinks their specific anime is the best one and nothing can come close to it.
I am fine with people enjoying what they like, even if I feel their taste is shit as long as they don't try to claim their anime is the best shit ever or even worse, their shit is flawless.
There are no flawless series and what one consider best or not depends on their specific taste.

I don't care what shows other people like.
I am bothered by people who use their tastes as a vehicle to be an obnoxious twit though. I am actually more bothered if said people have similar tastes to me, since I don't want to be associated with them.
