what made black clover's extra annoying is that it interrupted interesting events in clover, yami doesn't go even though it's his homeland and asta is the only to go instead of him and the black bulls, and there wasn't anything distinct about hino
i can at least tell in the upper half of the pic you posted that oda added his own twist on not-japan
but take asta out of the lower half of the pic and there is nothing about this not-japan that stands out, it looks like any other depiction of edo japan
