Is this really a genre? Something like One Piece or Attack on Titan isn't as a fighting centric as Dragon Ball or Naruto. And a focus on fighting doesn't make something its own genre either, because there's already a genre for that, it's called martial arts.

Why are you so autistic about descriptions? Everyone knows what you're talking about when you say battle shonen. Who really cares what some fart sniffers think if it's not 100% accurate in all cases?
