Sometimes I feel like people have no reading comprehension. Actually look at the scenes where she takes that damaged and get crippled. It's an entirely different vibe from how anons go on about it. It's an epic fight where she powers on through overwhelming odds while never backdown or showing fear. It's pure mad woman territory. This is, incidentally, what anons used to hype Deku up for too way back in the day: destroying his body in pursuit of heroism.

Mirko's fights are glorious bloodshed, not some pathetic guro ryona scene where she's whimpering and vomiting and pissing herself. Her loss of limbs and physical damage is a reflection of her heroic spirit, not pathetic weakness. It makes her comes off better, not worse.

This actually would have been great, because that also positions her to have a pivotal scene with Bakugo where she sits him down and tells him to stop being such a fuckass. One that lets her leverage their similarities in personality, but also her relative position of experience.

The main character of MHA was a high school boy. The story in fact started when he was in middle school. Why on earth would the main female character be an adult, professional hero, likely almost twice the MC's age? Does that make any sense to you? I really doubt it. An energetic fanservice bunnygirl would soak up readers like crazy, but that wouldn't save the quality of the writing. At least Midoriya had a compelling motivation, for all of the failings to use him as a good protagonist, and the failings to use the other characters effectively as well.
