We will never get another season, the original character designer was fired because he plagiarized art. The novel continued with a different art style, but it's so different from the original that the original director doesn't want to return to the project.

Nah, it was cleared up well before it could cause an issue.

Pic related is the actual issue. The novels have more or less been on hiatus since 2016 (to put that into perspective, the movie was 2017). There have only been THREE new books in the past 8 years. It's a pretty well-known thing that the novel parent companies who hold the rights to the series will "Strongly encourage" anime studios to promote ongoing series over ones that aren't putting out new content regularly.

Never, author got fucked after people found out he was a foreigner so they made up some "tracing" scandal bullshit to kill his work, even if nothing came out of it and was fake and the editorial published an apology, the bad publicity mixed with the fact he is half japanese killed the entire series

Not much. The initial one from 2012 had ended after 2 volumes (in 2017) so they made a sequel in 2022 but as you can see it still hasn't fully covered the same content as the animation.

Piss and Shit with Gayterbelt is a cheap cartoon and not hard to produce. A proper show like this would need more work for a season 2 so it's less likely to get one.
