This show didn't make sense to me. What even was her goal? Eventually the village would have ran out of living people, and very quickly by the looks of it. The shiki would replace some... and then what? What happens with the horde of frenzied vampires that have no one to feed on? Go to the next village and the next until they get found out and exterminated anyways?

Her goal was to have their cozy village of vampires and kidnap people or commute at night to feed. In reality it obviously wouldn't work, but the show isn't about the logic.

The show could have been about the vampires using diplomacy to obtain donated blood but that also seems kinda absurd.
