First season (not Death Generals) is pure awesomeness.

The show had it's problems (especially young hunters) but the music was catchy.

The only redeeming qualities of this dogshit were DarkKnightmon (who was treated better in Ghost Game anyway), Airu, and the manga adaptation. This shit was probably the biggest waste of potential in the entire franchise.

Worst thing Riku Sanjo has served as main writer for, even worse than Ziga.
I really have to wonder what went wrong, I see people citing production issues as the reason Sanjo became disinterested and decided to not write that many episodes and instead serve as an episode writer for Fourze. But I never saw any definitive explanation as to what these production issues were. Either way this definitely feels like the Arc-V of Digimon and is the only Digimon show besides Colon that I didn't enjoy. Was surprised to find out that Appli Monsters was unironically good.

Season 1 was all over the place. Felt like the writers tried to do a lot of ideas at the same time but couldn't execute them to their full extent. I didn't like Taiki's friends remained as cheerleaders intead of getting their own Digimon, especially given the opening seemed to hint Ballistamon and Cutemon would be their partners.
I liked season 2 (Death Generals) a lot on the other hand, liked the Dark Masters arc approach and the worlds they visited felt more memorable than the ones in the first season. Liked Kiriha and Nene as co-protagonists as well, I would have liked season 1 better if they would have been on a main role from the start. The final battle was pretty rushed, but other than that it's one of the Digimon seasons I liked the most.
