You guys told me the hiatus would be short this time.

Short in the context of the life of the universe.

It’s literally only been 6 months. Besides that Togashi probably won’t be back until next year.
Togashi hasn’t released chapters in consecutive years since before 2018, and he hasn’t started posting on Twitter yet (he always came back to Twitter in May the last few batches).

I hear the new HxH game isn't doing too well atm, hope that doesn't effect him in a bad way

I think rumors said he’d start posting on Twitter again sometime in August and return a few months later

The problem is you can’t trust any “plan” with Togashi. He left us for 4 years and almost quit, and we don’t have any real knowledge on why he came back. For all we know a month ago he shit himself , got pissed, and said “I’m not drawing this shit anymore”

It's the first HxH game that seems to actually have some budget behind it and I feels like I read somewhere that due to HxHs loose deal with WSJ he might have had to actually fund a big portion of the expenses for its development out of pocket. Don't quote me on that though

Anime games don’t really do that well in general, and Hunter very rarely lives up to its full pop culture potential because Togashi is always on hiatus. I bet you if Togashi was regularly dropping chapters the game would’ve had way more hype

It feels like a game that should have released like 12 years ago during 2011s run considering all the playable characters are from Chimera arc or earlier. 16 characters, 14 guys and 2 girls, the cast of the game feels a little too limited. Bisky and Machi are great but I think it needs like 3 or 4 more females before it feels like a fuller game. Pitou Shizuku Palm and maybe even some of the zodiacs.
