>>280830366>>280830394A few notes about this episode, and sorry if I rambled for too long or sounded angry:
Am I the only one who finds this episode more rushed than usual? The pacing, the dialogue, and the resolution all felt like they were written very quickly with no revision.
It was very ironic how, despite the episode having "KiraPika" in its title, it focuses more on Ciel despite how the main conflict is supposed to be about her brother.
I never felt like Ciel needed Rio's help, neither before (except for episode 23) nor now, and I felt like she only asked him for assistance in one scene just out of pity. Also, her pushiness towards her brother comes off to me as toxic, misguided, and honestly unpleasant, not to mention how the twins have no chemistry together; their interactions are just Ciel being pushy and Rio being "tsundere", and that's it.
The cooking scene in the middle of the episode was fucking shitty not only because it slowed down the episode that's supposed to be about Rio, but also it was pointless since they don't give the waffle they made to him (no idea how's that supposed to make him feel better) anyway, they could have shown Rio making his favorite sweets or anything else instead since him not being able to make sweets was one of the main conflicts of his character arc.
The emotional climax was complete dogshit, for some reason they don't show Rio's face when he was talking about his past, and Ciel not only doesn't say anything about what she did to him back in Paris, but she also says that Cure Parfait was "her and Rio's miracle" which doesn't mean shit because she's the only one who can transform, and later when she brags about that she and her bro will work together and will never leaves him behind or something, she goes to fight Elisio all by herself while Rio is standing there watching and smiling like an idiot. Like, what is this shit, man? Is this some kind of metaphor?
