M1A2 has better protection from front and especially side due to thicker armor (+DU) but is heavier(65+ tons)
Type 10 is more mobile because it's lighter (about 40-45t) and uses a more efficient powertrain. Although it has new modular armor, protection isn't as good as the M1A2 or newer Leopards and the sides are likely much thinner.
Firepower is technically the same because they both use the standard 120mm L/44 smoothbore, but abrams has better performing apfsds because it can use new DU rounds, while type 10 has better recoil control and gun angling due to a newer mount and hydropneumatic suspension.
I have no idea about their network abilities because those are especially not shown to the public, but they both have brand new C4I technologies implimented.
In short abrams is more of the classic heavy, type 10 is more mobile but lighter.
