It would be a typical twist for a time travel show. The many ghosts or afterimages of MC in the last scene of episode 3 also heavily that he already died tons of times. There is also a magical door in first of his "dream" flashbacks in episode 1, which further hints that it's not a dream but a suppressed memory.
