>>280882996I think Shin is plenty mature now, he's much less naive than he used to be even though he's still a meathead, and he's capable of actual level headed decisions, generally speaking he's a lot more at peace with himself than he used to be.
The bigger issue is honestly Sei now that we're slowly entering mercury chugging territory, if there's gonna be crazy fanfic it will be about Sei rather than Shin because there's no whitewashing what Sei's gonna do, he could get away with the whole mother business but what's coming next won't be easy to write unless he completely changes A LOT of what was recorded.
In fact I argue keeping Shin's failures from now one will be a good thing, have Shin become more and more disillusioned with Sei as he descends into madness, that would make for some interesting storytelling for once.
