POWER SYSTEM IDEA
A character, through meditation, can connect with the force of the universe. God? Buddha? Who knows...
This is not just meditation — it's several days (or even weeks) of constant meditation, without breathing, eating, drinking, or thinking about anything other than making that connection.
After establishing the connection, the character can request a certain power — but there will always be a payment. The more powerful the ability, the more severe the price. The universe itself is both the source of the power and the entity that enforces the debt.
Examples of such powers:
>The universe ensures that up to five enemy attacks or abilities are destined to fail. Payment: The character must skin themselves for each use. The skin will regrow.
>The character can resurrect even after the destruction of body, mind, and soul.Payment: For one year, the character will exist in a void where all senses are completely shut off.
>The universe imposes a rule: the enemy cannot use the same attack, ability, or weapon twice in a row. Passive abilities deactivate after use and must be reactivated manually. Payment: One year per use — during which the character becomes completely apathetic.
These are not merely powers, but new laws of the universe, like gravity or time. They are inevitable and absolute — just like the flow of time or entropy. Stopping them would be like destroying fundamental aspects of reality itself.
