CGDCTs feel too derivative nowadays, the only one from this decade that left some sort of impression was Bocchi, which is a series many will argue is not really that good.

classifying moeshit as a genre seems similar to saying anime is a genre. cgdct is more of an aesthetic that certain genres gravitate to because they're complementary. iyashikei shows don't have to be cgdct, but they're easier to make when moe. action shows can be cgdct, but it's typically better done without it.
