Do keep in mind that TL quality really is questionable.

I know a lot of people were disappointed or upset by the ending but I honestly quite like it. It's in line with the bittersweet themes of the manga and no one can claim that it (the risk of both falling in love and the issues that it brings) wasn't properly set up from the start.

My only complaint is with mid-late parts of the manga where many complications "just worked out", which felt very shounen-y

I get why people didnt like the ending but I think the hate is a bit too over the top sometimes. I agree that it definitely could've felt a little less contrived, but I still felt like the bittersweet ending was nice and melancholic and it definitely stuck with me for a bit

The last volume is bittersweet yes, but the actual ending is just outright great for the two main characters. Kou grew up, did not lose his love, found a solution to their problem, found an occupation he enjoys, and then Nazuna herself. She accepted him as the "man she loves" and there's nothing to indicate they aren't going to be together from now on.
So what gives?

Not really. They never actually confirmed the whole "what happens if a vampire falls in love" thing. It might have just been a weakened vampire dies to sunlight thing like what we saw earlier. Also they never really explained how the half vampire transformation thing worked or the long term ramifications of that. They also never truly explained what happened to her mother or father and how exactly she came to be. Also if she really was a vampire born from a human and vampire parentage then wouldn't she be a half vampire herself? With her amnesia she might actually be her own mother and her being a "child" is just symbolic. Maybe the whole "a vampire dies if she sucks the blood from a human they love" thing means they just lose all their memories and are effectively "dead".

They went over it multiple times, nazuna dies if she drinks ko's blood. That's literally why huraka was upset with ko at the beginning of this volume.

I'm convinced you're either shitposting or just a speedreading retard at this point. Ko can turn when injured or experiencing intense emotions but can't stay in that form for long hence why he said he trained himself to control it.

Covered in the hospital arc, haru dies after giving birth to nazuna and the father dies shortly. What he died from is never stated but it was probably suicide.

It's been stated multiple times that she is but not in the same way as ko. She was born into vampirism and not turned.

Literal headcanon, all vampires in the series forget things over time due to living so long. Nazuna is already 40 years old and most of what we know about her came from kabura who has no reason to lie.

I think it's a retcon, it's made pretty clear if a vampire drinks the blood of the one they love it will kill them and that's probably regardless of how it's consumed.

A great manga, characters were really good and the subplots were really interesting as well
I didn't follow weekly, binge reading it I didn't feel any pacing issues
Ending was meh, but thanks to many other manga the bar is set on sewer level so it's fine

Pretty much this. It wrapped everything up however there are two things that are understandably off putting: The lack of explanation to Kou's powers and Nazuna eventually outliving him. Other than that I can't think of anything else that's an issue.

Re-reading the manga I realize that I really just wanted to see them make out more during the final chapters. I understand that it might've been dangerous, but seeing as they're portrayed as "deeply in love" I find it unrealistic that there wouldn't be more intimacy

Tale as old as time. I am kinda sad that the timeskip means Kou will never become a vampire, but I had thought he was never going to see Nazuna again. They're clearly going to spend their lives together as lovers. And that half vampire and born vampire stuff is so dumb, I'll chose to believe Kou will turn into a full vamp anyway.
As for my overall thoughts on the manga, I liked it. Trouble is, I deeply loved some parts and didn't like others. I actually think this manga opens and ends on really high notes. Kotoyama is amazing at developing atmosphere and showing not telling. However, he's pretty bad at writing fight oriented plots. The Anko and Kiku arcs manage to drag on and fizzle out. The penultimate volumes of both of those arc are definitely the weakest parts of the manga, it's a lot of nonsense. They build up a fight, but you can see the talk no justu from a mile away. But, the non-fight related arcs are really amazing. Anko got so much better when her arc was over. I hated her as an antagonist, but she was really fun as a normal character. We really didn't get as much time with Nazuna's vampire friends as I would've liked. I think the manga would be a lot better with no Kiku arc and instead that time was spent developing the friends.
But yeah, I liked it. I think people hate these kind of endings as they're published because it feels like you wait weeks for nothing. It's why I like storytimes. I think they've done a lot to change the popular consensus of manga on /a/ because people read it all at once and realize it's not so bad
