Tale as old as time. I am kinda sad that the timeskip means Kou will never become a vampire, but I had thought he was never going to see Nazuna again. They're clearly going to spend their lives together as lovers. And that half vampire and born vampire stuff is so dumb, I'll chose to believe Kou will turn into a full vamp anyway.
As for my overall thoughts on the manga, I liked it. Trouble is, I deeply loved some parts and didn't like others. I actually think this manga opens and ends on really high notes. Kotoyama is amazing at developing atmosphere and showing not telling. However, he's pretty bad at writing fight oriented plots. The Anko and Kiku arcs manage to drag on and fizzle out. The penultimate volumes of both of those arc are definitely the weakest parts of the manga, it's a lot of nonsense. They build up a fight, but you can see the talk no justu from a mile away. But, the non-fight related arcs are really amazing. Anko got so much better when her arc was over. I hated her as an antagonist, but she was really fun as a normal character. We really didn't get as much time with Nazuna's vampire friends as I would've liked. I think the manga would be a lot better with no Kiku arc and instead that time was spent developing the friends.
But yeah, I liked it. I think people hate these kind of endings as they're published because it feels like you wait weeks for nothing. It's why I like storytimes. I think they've done a lot to change the popular consensus of manga on /a/ because people read it all at once and realize it's not so bad
Also, I listened to this song near constantly while reading. I feel like it really fit most of the volumes.
