nta but just watch the originals. The way it stacks asspulls on asspulls on stupid twists trumps everything similar. It's just such a wild ride.

I have nostalgia since I grew up with the og series so I prefer that. but if I never watched it before then just watch the newer remake films since the animation quality and pacing is better. there are a few changes and retcons but nothing major.

I remember a time when you didn't even know when a series ended. You got what ever dvds were at the blockbuster or what ever aired on TV and that was it. I'm glad I missed out on the dark times of people pirating what they could on VHS though. THAT must have been rough.
Iβve been watching anime for over 10 years, and Code Geass is still the only 'popular classic' I havenβt seen. At this point, Iβm convinced it wonβt live up to the hype the internet keeps pushing.
yeah mabey because its not a mecha anime. the giant robots take a back seat they are not the focus like most mecha anime. that is one of the things that makes it good.

Lower your expectations and dive into what ever anime head first and ask questions later! Stop ruining series for yourself that you haven't even tried to watch yet. You are only limiting what you yourself can watch no one else.

I really tried watching Code Geass once and this was the main issue, the pacing is one massive fuckup. i remember the way Lelouch got that helmet and the cape is so out of fucking nowhere.

If watching a series one episode a week, as it was intended, is bad pacing. I feel sorry for your attention spans seeing as you can watch as much as you want these days.
