Blood pudding is honestly milder than what the continentals eat honestly, or god forbid the nordics, with blood pudding you get the standard array of spices one would want in a traditional sausage+you're generally getting it cooked in some way, generally fried, and while I guess you could gnaw on a whole fried sausage to get a full immersion experience it's a good reminder that it's usually eaten as part of a larger meal that generally includes fattier/similarly powerful flavors, like generally speaking if you're having it as part of one's breakfast you probably have bacon and mushrooms on your plate as well, meanwhile if you're eating it as some sort of hangover cure or 2 am snack then the mix of carbs and meaty flavoring is going to be welcome.
