cgi rarely seems to have been used because the studio thought 'this will produce the best product,' just 'this will produce adequate product on schedule.' dorohedoro was unwatchable. cgi is the worst possible medium to render hayashida's artstyle

It's basically the same as going from hand drawn to digital.
Digital is its own pros and cons vs hand drawn. And CGI will be very much the same.
But CGI is still relatively new and it'll mature and become more refined
