Yes the twist was absolute garbage, BUT that is because of the absolute Japanese trope law of moral cover — the protagonist can NEVER do ANYTHING morally questionable. I think Looseboy wanted the fans to realize what his intentions were and that the brother twist was just editor-demanded bullshit.
