Why have "tall female characters" gotten so damn tall in recent years?

Before, the token tall female character used to be like, 180cm tops. Now they're just getting bigger and bigger. Is there a point where it becomes unsustainable?

It's a good thing. I'm so tired of "tall girl" characters who are only tall because they're compared to a male character who is so short they happen to be the size of a child.

Let the male characters be the size of adults. Let the tall girls be TALL.
