I think the England thing is where people get mad about Aleister. Nobody actually forgave Othinus and canonically she is "imprisoned" with Touma and he died she would be taking by magic authorities. Accelerator is still called a monster and mikoto is still disgusted by him. He can't even forgive himself as shown with his self imprisonment. For the time being Anna is still called a villain. I think the problem with MO and even railgun is that it has to keep focusing on new side characters because the main ones are mostly locked into what they can be since its way behind the main story. Thats why AB felt better overall, Junko was just a nameless character before that and thus had plenty of room to flesh her out and grow. Its like with MO, the main draw should be Misaki, but we cant really get much out of Misaki because her story has basically been tackled already up until [current volume]. So instead we get these side characters that you know will be one-offs and its hard to get invested.

To be fair, there is some of this (especially the keikaku master part) in Mental Out. People just don't tend to register it because its pace halted to a crawl at some point, but everything about how the election part has played has been Misaki outkeikakuing all the other candidates.

Every Toaru manga is monthly but given the pace of the storytelling it needs to be biweekly not to be insufferably slow, and that is before you take into account that they take some months off. The main Index manga has been running since before the anime and still hasn't caught up yet, it will take a few years at this rate and they had to invent new Railgun arcs for the anime because the manga didn't have enough content. Railguns current past arc has been almost 5 years long, it is infuriating.

It's better than I remembered from reading it bit by bit as it was coming out.
