CITY is a comfy show, which is occasionally funny, but it's more just sorta fun and sweet and cute. Cannot fault the animation for anything. Honestly it's next level. KyoAni still has it, at least in that category.
The issues are more about how they structured everything, reordered chapters a bit strangely, and the pacing is maybe not super great due to the single cour. Remains to be seen if they made the right choices or not, based on how they finish it out. They have to introduce a lot of characters. But the general consensus seems to be that a 2 cour series and a more faithful adaptation would be better than what we're getting.
Nichijou, at least so far, was better.

And yet at the same time we have the main trio coming together, finding new and unique friendship. A friendship where they give each other crap and mess with each other, but still love and support each other. Things are maybe going to be alright. Maybe for everyone.
