Yes, that good trait which was never used because he had Punch Harder. If he had AFO instead, he’d have to create a strategies with Quirks he’d just acquired with little time to develop them. AFO was overpowered because he stockpiled and combined many strong Qurks over his long life, but Deku wouldn’t stockpile them, he’d absolutely give whatever he took to a Quirkless person who needs it. So his battles would usually begin with him figuring out how to approach an enemy and touch them long enough to initiate Quirk transfer, and then he’d use the newly-acquired Quirk to defeat the other enemies in their team, all the while thinking ahead and strategizing to make it work. He can’t just Punch Harder. And being Deku, he absolutely wouldn’t tolerate NOT giving Quirks to those who need them if he has the power to do so resulting him never stockpiling and become a vigilante Jesus. Deku who dreamed of being like All-Might ended up being like All-Might nemesis, a character development setup which writes its fucking self. Deku having to face Bakugo on opposite sides of the law. And it’s so far outside of Hori’s skills as a writer it may as well be the Count of Monte Christo.
