>Furry community was founded around marginalized groups like the LGBT, specially gay men. Fursonas and fursuits give them anonimity allowing them to be themselves when it wasn’t accepted by society
Which stupid youtuber is spreading this crap? The furry fandom was started by nerds talking about the cat and bird people in Star Trek TAS. The first furry con was about the restoration of Animalympics. The groups became full of pervs and sex pests for the same reason everything else does, not because it was started by them.
>so these communities were highly accepting and low on criticism
No, it's because the low-bar of "you must like cartoon animals" attracted social rejects desperate to belong somewhere. These were the ones pushing tolerance and acceptance, for their own sake.
>Furry style seems to draw more from sports mascots and costumes than cartoon animals
The costumes are based on mascots and the mascots are based on cartoons, not the other way around. Seriously, who comes up with this shit?
>because most of the time they were representing a fursuit
Source: your ass. The mostly human bodies are because that's what most people want to see in porn.
>Japanese furries seems to be more related to cute mascots and less human bodies are more common
Again; source: your ass. Stuff like Made In Abyss and Jewelpets are exceptions, not the rule.
The rest of your comment (which isn't much) is more or less right. But so much of it is misinformation... who or what made you believe otherwise?
