ok so I just watched the final, wanna make sure I have this right.
Takopi sacrificed himself to rewind time one last time, and the two timelines were blended together. The protags don't remember Takopi or their time with him specifically, but they do keep the feelings they had which leads to them doing things differently and getting a happier ending.
