I actually like Rebuild and think this question is completely retarded.
The series blows it out of the water in almost every regard. Rebuild gets a few fights that are more impressive, mostly because they have the budget of 20 years of Evangelion Merch backing them instead of a firm handshake and Anno's pining affection for Ikuhara.
