Err no, It's much better than that fight with far better story build up. Ichigo vs Ywach 1 was better than Yamamoto's on the basis of not having terrible cgi.

I prefer the old anime. I don't know what it is about the TYBW animation, but it looks too shiny and try hard. There's clearly some nice artistic choices in scenes, but overall, the color platelet and animation just don't feel cohesive.

The first Ichigo vs Grimmjow fight is better animated than anything in TYBW. And you could see what the fuck is happening than a bunch of schizo effects.

I think the problems is that the quincies don't match with the world of Bleach. They feel tacked on, there's no natural progression and their character designs are bad.

First season was fantastic, despite the shiny neon colors, after that they reduced the budget or something and it is very low quality and effort after that.

Not to mention the story stalling and never going or delivering anything good, relevant or impactful.
