Given the alleged lengthy amount of time takuto has been playing the game, you could say that him and atou, his direct subordinate, would have some kind of mutual respect relationship. I think calling her behavior inconsistent is a bit of a stretch. Being cruel to her enemies and friendly to her allies isn't really inconsistent, especially for somebody who is supposed to be "evil" aligned.

Regarding the part where Takuto blinks into shadow guy mode in her view certainly has to be some sort of foreshadowing, though I think it's hard to say what for, I think. I mean there's no apparent connection between it happening and the events of the episode, I don't think Takuto was lying when he told her she can do as she pleases. If anything it seemed like a result of Atou's own fears, so maybe this would imply that what people see him as depends more on what their own image of him is, so when Atou was afraid he would be upset with her she momentarily saw him as the dark lord or whatever he's supposed to be rather than the regular guy who was previously playing the computer game "with" her.
