I actually really want to see Murata’s illustration of the Giant Brave vs Iron Series battle. ONE is garbage at drawing things at scale, if Murata brings his A-game for that fight it will be the pinnacle of kino.

Empty Void vs Saitama should have been a thing. I get that it was a throw-away gag in the webcomic, but it could still have been turned into a kino Naruto-like fight sequence which still ended up in being one-shooting through the floor Willy E. Coyote style. Like, have Void meeting Saitama, analyzing him and figuring out a strategy in an internal monologue, then launch some wild Naruto bullet-time blitz attack, striking from 18 different directions simultaneously, etc, just to get plowed into the floor as per the expected punchline. This would not detract from the manga in the least and let Vood show off his skills while the reader is having their anticipation of the punchline reveal being built up.

The sequence is literally interspersed with Bofoi explaining in detail why Child Emperor's robot sucks as it gets torn apart. The highlight isn't the fight, it's the panel of Child Emperor trying and failing to hold his tears back and Bofoi feeling so bad he gives him an explanation anyway.
If I wanted to see flashy explosions, OPM is honestly the last manga I'd go to. Might as well hand the webcomic over to Murata at that point.

That wouldn't have had the same impact as Flashy and Sonic walking up to the aftermath. Part of what made it so good was precisely how the focus was on Flashy and Sonic while Saitama was doing things in the background.

Murata is just gonna lose the plot again, we all know that. He's gonna make it so Brave Giant last thrice as long as the original and manages to leave the Metal Series in a rough state, just like how in the Centipede fight draft Genos jobbed instantly but Murata turned him into a lego figure that can put himself back together after being bisected.

All of this IF he doesn't completely change the plot in the first place. The whole Neo Heroes setup has been different from the start. Nearly all the S-class who moved are now spies from the HA, Neo leaders got different characterization, and I can bet you the Hero Names Victim Association members are getting either switched with or accompanied by Murata originals including [lust provoking female]

Some might argue in favor of Tank Top Master, but jobbing in its purest state it's about seeing someone be hyped up then trashed. Genos is the one who gets endless upgrades and describing how strong he's gotten, only to be dismantled in the next page in cycle that has only just ended. Mask goes without mention.

ONE has very obvious favorites in character archetypes. He seems to love punishing and diminishing attractive / cool types — and I guess Genos triggers this instinct. Meanwhile if you’re a muscle character you get NOTHING but epic badass moments.

Blast might be the single most emblematic character of how much the manga changed compared to the webcomic.
Manga fans like him because they like those changes (hence why they're manga fans) and webcomic fans hate him because they don't like those changes (hence why they're webcomic fans).
