analyze any other fucking translation like japanese to french/spanish official releases, or manga translations to russian (these don't localize a lot even though they have more reason to, since lots of Japanese phrases sound stiff when translated too literally into russian), or basically any other translation from language A to B without involving a fucking american or argentinian and everyone understands that it doesn't make sense to remove honorifics, ignore the order of names and surnames then being driven into a wall when a character goes to first name basis, or having a japanese character say "vos sos un pelotudo", and many other atrocities

how would you handle the last case? the katakana speakers. would it be better to translate normally and give it a shaky font or something, or make them go full broken jeetglish to emphasize the stilted nature of it?

If possible, you could emphasize the lack of kanji and sentence structure by hav ingthe mtal klike this, among other foreigner traits. Some EOPs ask why kanji exists when kana works fine, then the wall of text shows up and you don't know where to start or end. Emphasize that they might not know how a word is supposed to flow.

There are basically two divisions in Ivrea: the Argentinean and the Spanish one. I can't speak for how the team in Spain localizes the manga, but from what I understand, it’s decent. However, the Argentinean one is Manga Stream-tier in terms of how liberal the localization is (or was; I don’t know if it’s better now than in the mid-2010s) in the way they add profanities or local-specific jargon that makes the reading incredibly awkward.
