People think Fate is opposite to HF within the spectrum of seigi - no seigi but it's actually the middle ground. Its message of loving/helping yourself in order to love/help others manages to change Shirou's path of heroism while still keeping the end goal the same. It's definitely more rational, even if it's within a route that ends up feeling lamer than the other ones despite its many qualities.
