Even if the anime is a surprise success (whic this one isn't) it doesn't get a sequel next year generally. Waiting queue to produce a sudden season two is about two years, sometimes even longer if you want a big studio. Note how even Frierens, Bisque Dolls and similar cash cows don't get quick second seasons.
