The series is weirdly captivating despite its retarded and slightly misguided Ideas about fighting. Rikudou is also super hot and I love her design to so that helps. Strength through numbers is cattle mentality. The violence philosophy presented in this manga is individualistic, the characters only feel fulfilled while subjugating others through their own physical strength. It's basically feeding their own ego so it's not the same as systemic violence that is used as a form of establishing order and control, not the self-satisfaction of an individual. Punching some guy with your bare fists is only gratifying for oneself. The author could make some interesting exploration of this egoist violence primal urge clashing with other human emotions and what would happen if Akita/Setsuna fall in love with each other and have to choose between their philosophy over other mundane shit but I doubt the author is smart enough for any of that.

I'm nta, but I have to disagree, particularly due to FMC's and the champion's interaction and result. Picrel implies that the author believes fighting smart and calculating is worse or weaker than going full primal.

I think this manga is meant to be a pleasurable read for those that like violence, and to awaken those in the closet about it or just unaware. I think the author wants some people to read this manga and feel "so this is what my life's been missing". That primal feeling of pleasure or relief one gets from letting loose and beating something up with their own hands, or watching others do it.
I think his approach is wide too, which adds diversity to the manga. FMC passionately likes violence. MC wants to get stronger and enjoys this life. The champ has switched over to a more primal violent fighting style. The previous antag liked beating women. Star cheek guy wants to make a "violence idol".
To top everything off, there's the incubating expectation that once MC gets strong enough, he'll forcefully take FMC in a sexual fashion. I'm sure most of us have been expecting this for some time.
