Hibiki and Kanade have kind of fallen by the wayside as more obviously yuribait couples have become the norm. I still like them a lot though. I'm wondering if I should start writing a fandom at my rate. I always put in stuff I want to talk about, and then forget to go over them. Oh well. Another two parter.

Summary for the anons that need it: Hinata is having difficulty not blabbing about precure and Chiyu is not having it, dragging her out and scolding her. After school Chiyu and the fairies go over what precures are with Hinata, but she just doesn't get it. The next day while class goes Hinata's undiagnosed HDHD isn't even letting her pass the previous year's exams, and Chiyu once again steps in and requests Hinata make notes rather than pay attention to Nyatoran sitting outside the window. Chiyu heads off to practice and Nodoka and Hinata head home where Hinata expresses her fear that Chiyu hates her and that she might need to quit being a Precure because the minutiae is just going right through her ears. Nodoka assures her for now, and later that night Chiyu goes to Nodoka's house to express her worry over being too harsh on Hinata and scaring her, but Rabi just blurts out that Hinata thinks she's mad. After Chiyu leaves, Nodoka goes to her mom for advice who suggests doing something together, like the aquarium. Next day the girls are deciding what to do first at the aquarium, Hinata wants to do the Dolphin show, but is scared she might bother Chiyu; Chiyu is plenty fine with the show. After having all that fun at the show, the girls are watching the Jellyfish when Hinata finds Chiyu's weakness. Doing her best impression of a Dad, Hinata drops pun after pun after pun leaving Chiyu in stitches. But the fun is over when they realize Pegitan is gone. The girls are searching all over as Shindoine appears and captures the bubbles to make a tentacled MoTW.

Summary continued: The issue is complex now and Chiyu and Hinata butt heads on what to do since Chiyu can't transform. Nodoka steps in becomes the leader, stressing to find Pegitan and then fight. The girls split with Hinata and Chiyu going together. Pegitan finds Shindoine first and is quickly captured, with Hinata and Chiyu finding them. Hinata charges Shindoine, and Chiyu runs in to try and help. The MoTW is confused by the two girls it ends up knocking Pegi out of Shindoine's hand to bonk the soon appearing Nodoka. With all the healing animals in their rightful place, the girls transform and make quick work of the MoTW. Afterwards Pegi gets scolded by the fairies, and Chiyu once again scolds Hinata, but making sure Hinata knows they are still a team; much to Nodoka's excitement.

I wasn't around for the HG premier, so I'm curious how the anons took Chiyu just dying from all the puns.
I'm not ADHD enough to come up with these brainrot-tier puns, but I do find myself laughing at them, especially when people like Hinata can machinegun them out. Its glorious.

Mirai/Liko is definitely one of my favorite ships too. I wouldn't say Hibiki/Kanade or Sora/Mashiro are one of my favorites either, but they are definitely great too for the reasons you mentioned.
A couple of my favorite ships are Mana/Rikka (Happy Prince/Swallow dynamic is completely absurdist but that's why it's fun, especially factoring in the other girls) and Hikaru/Lala (Seeing a character go from mostly fine being alone to someone afraid of letting other people go is really interesting)
