Hi, I started reading Iruma a week ago. I've already read over 200 chapters and I'm really enjoying the manga.

But I have a question: I've seen that Opera usually ranks high in popularity polls. Why? So far, she hasn't been featured and hasn't done much. Or maybe I haven't reached the date of the first contest yet, and she'll still be featured? When did the polls actually take place? On what dates, and what chapters were the manga at during each poll?

And next year, there should be season 4 of the anime. Do you think they'll adapt up to what point? I think the first chapters of the 13 Crowns arc, with the dinner, would be a good season finale. What do you think?

Opera is a mix between a classic kuudere and a mild tsundere in the sense that they did pick on people they like (Kalego and Balam) and still do (Sullivan and Bachiko).

Both archetypes are historically popular as fuck. Also them being bigender (hinted at with merch)/nonbinary and being drawn as either feminine or masculine with each appearance makes them very flexible with shipping work.

Also Mafia Opera might add to the newer numbers. I think Mafia Opera might be more popular than the mainline one at this point.

In the same vein their design in Kalego Gaiden seems to be more popular than any of the others.

Last but not least Opera might qualify for rank nine. We do not know why they backed out of fighting Amu so it's still very possible that they are crazy strong and simply refuse to rank up like Sullivan. They also do not brag despite being THE almighty janitor of the series. That appeals to a lot of people. Large parts of the fandom consider them Crown material afaik.

If Jazz and Lied both side with Iruma even after learning he is human (which is very likely given how close Lied is to him and Jazz generally being way too considerate and nice for a demon, just like Balam) it'd be handy to have their siblings on Iruma's side as a power couple.

Rock can map out how to retrieve Iruma fast and how to disappear asap with him while Shakky takes out guards (I'm not sure if we even saw that she is limited to only one target?).

Also Rock should/could tutor Iruma on shape shifting to fix his ears and fangs if Ali doesn't eventually.

I know that we will most likely get an end with everyone important accepting Iruma as human but I'm also content Nishi eventually will show us a proper demon Iruma in the manga and this would be one way to do it.
