I dont think that's the case. The fact is, if you look deep there is some hidden easy to miss relevant world-building details, although not on the same level as One Piece or whatever. For some reason though discussion around it never really happens a lot nor lasts long.
Also speaking for myself, while I enjoy both reading and watching this series a lot every week, it's also hard to remember most of the stuff that happpened many shapters ago it's development of Alzheimer because part of the appeal of the manga is the weekly fun bullshit so the building blocks vanish in the backgound weirdness noise rather than standing out as precious information to theorize about. If I didn't check out the threads here once in a while I would have missed a lot of stuff.
