This is the part where I dropped naruto entirely. Up to that point I've been suspending my disbelieve on the asspulls, but this seals it. Naruto peaked in the prologue, everything after Zabuza is downhill.

Uh clearly he had enough chakra to summon a boss summon even though he could barely stand, and obviously he simply summoned it put it in a genjutsu got in his mouth in 0.5 seconds and then did a space-time ninjutsu. and obviously he would set up this contingency with Suigetsu, off-screen, just in case he was in this exact kind of situation. also it’s just a mere coincidence all of Hebi got to the blast site before Team Konoha don’t think about that

The whole point of the Gaara fight is that were they fighting a fair one-on-one fight, Gaara would've most likely won convincingly, but upon realizing this, Deidara decided to fight dirty and took advantage of the fact that they were fighting directly above the Sand village, and so he dropped a nuke on top of it to force Gaara to focus all of his power and attention on protecting it, and used the opening to deal a near-fatal blow. Deidara had no such cards to play against Sasuke, and he still nearly won.

Also Sasuke could always pull the curse seal for extra power.
Sharingan on Manda doesn't require lots of chakra so much as high level sharingan skills and unmitigated balls.
The fact that Sasuke summoned manda instead of any other smaller snake just meant he had extra reserves or used his body to tank a bit of the damage because he was more strained on time than chakra

It gets boring where every antagonist is just a power-hungry psychopath who wants to rule the world. I like the fact that Naruto antagonists are still human in their motivations. Also, Obito was struggling against fate and death, which is quite badass if you ask me.

If he stayed with his convictions he might have been cool, but he switched on a dime when Naruto basically told him some lame ass crap like “would Rin want this?” It makes me so upset because of what the Masked Man / Tobi represented for the series, I wanted him to be the final big bad he was keeping the series afloat for so long and the source of all the hatred (he was like the Palpatine to Sasuke’s Vader and was the reason Naruto became than orphan Jinchuuriki) but he was recontextualized as a Madara manipulated victim. Rin should not have been such a focal, there should have been more emphasis on how Obito was sick of the reality of the ninja world like being a child soldier for the third great ninja war.
