I still love this series and I try not to be one of those negative nancies and shitposters, but sometimes I read lines on the novels that make want to grab Kamachi by his shirt and ask him ehat the fuck he was thinking. The difference is nobody calls those characters fighters against injustice. There's a huge leap between arguing that even evil people like aleister were also victims of things larger than them(Kamachis talking point in NT), and straight up calling someone a hero of justice that fought for it harder than anyone (Kamachis talking point since GT)

There's also the matter of consequences. Accelerator is currently in jail, being a potato because of his actions and characters throughout story continue to remind him of what he's done. Now what did aleister say when he was questioned on guilt? " I regret nothing". There was nothing wrong with this btw, it made him an interesting character and actually made sense for his narrative. The issue is when the same narrative tries to pretend he's anything but that.

The likes of Mikoto and Mugino cannot be compared to aleister. Mugino has 2 murders on her belt, 1 is self defense and Mikoto is a public nuisance at most. Misaki barely does anything that the average tokiwadai oujou doesn't do. These are all also 14-16 year old children
