Unpublished manuscript "Time Bomb"
This is a continuation of the Honban Junior High School reunion.
This story was planned to lead into Volume 16, Chapter 124, "The Major Incident." When the question of who the culprit was in "The Major Incident" arose, there were a number of suspects, such as a boy who liked Ayutori, or a girl who liked Sanada who liked Ayutori, and Okubo, also known as "Hotchan," who appears in "Time Bomb," was also one of the candidates. Sudo Kanon was also one of them. However, if there were many suspects, the story would have become too long, so when it came time to write "The Major Incident," I cut it down and simplified it.
Then the "time bomb" would no longer be necessary. Yasutchan had appeared as a suspect in the "major incident" as early as volume 6, but...
Also, I don't really like the story of "Time Bomb." It's a common trope in suspense stories for the culprit to come out bluntly after giving up, but I don't like that in the first place...
It is revealed that the shrine maiden who is briefly seen in "A Stupid Way to Spend New Year's Eve" is Yashiro Aki-chan, and there are many other things to it, but it was deemed unnecessary so it was not included in the book.
