Why did they make Asuka's death so brutal in particular compared to the others in the series? It reminds me of Saruman's death in the extended cut for Return of The King standing out in the same way.

In her defense, I don't think she thought of them as angels but as evas, which normally wouldn't be able to resurrect like they did, as far as she knew. There was only one instance she saw of that weird shit happening, which was unit 01 going crazy (cant remember if she saw that tho)

The best way to adapt LOTR would be a TV show with a Game Of Thrones-tier budget. Then you'd be able to get everything. Tom Bombadil, the Scouring of the Shire, proper characterizations for Denethor and Faramir, Prince Imrahil and Beregond, all of it.

Of course that would only happen if somebody wanted it to. They stretched The Hobbit, which is a medium-length children's book, into THREE movies and they STILL skimped on some details from the books. Beorn is barely in the Hobbit trilogy which is really fucking dumb of them.
