For example: a multicultural city with a bunch of races is really good for unified business. As an adventurer I wouldn't need to travel around the country or world to search functional equipment. I can build what I need with the dwarves and elves that are already making a live here and perhaps only need to travel around for high-end stuff if not materials.
I'm fine even with some races in those towns which would show business is working and how welcome you'd be. Hell if high end stuff can only be found in some secluded place it'd make sense I'd fight high level players there like Ragnarok Online.
I wouldn't be fine however if I go to one of those towns and it isn't anything advised like an elf city populated by a crapton of dwarves and vice versa. At least advertise it like an exceptional village they threw the differences away or something.
It's one of the reasons I HATE The Legend of Korra so much compated to Avatar the Last Airbender. The Avatar's journey is meant to be spiritual, learning about their skills but also cultures which help exposing on their respective nations. And they just did that all away for an Industrial America because Korra speedran 3 elements from childhood. And the rest of the show was wasted against revolutionaries of each background.

In the novel, only licensed alchemists can perform alchemy unless they are doing it under the watch of another licensed one, but in the anime, Lorea can make potions by herself which can be punished with a death penalty.
A lot of the anime is anime original, including the plot about Sarasa's parents company trying to get her back after they got rid of the debt.
Sarasa is slowly making moves so Lorea will never leave her side because she is heavily dependant on her (cooking, cleaning, managing the shop, appraising items, shopping, etc.).
Sarasa is a bisexual in denial in the novels (she is worried about not being able to marry after watching Leonora and Ophelia).

Feels like this is exactly why I dislike sadboy stories that got bullied by multiple girls and later they get interested in him.
It's because as much as it's hard to get over the grudge, in the present they all have an actual shot to be happy. In real life, most of the time those girls won't give a shit but in these stories they keep wallowing too much in this old sorrow to the point it blocks them from further happiness, it's too much suffering and misery like I want the MCs to get happier.
So I like that he is actually admitting all of those regrets and how he did indeed want to do things differently.
It's also why I like Ishigami from Kaguya so much. He had one of those backstories getting screwed over, but Shirogane and the others pulled him from it along the way as part of his subplot. His misery doesn't overstay.

Finally, the Goddess may be able to give you some limited support but don't expect much, there's rules she has to abide by. If you need to communicate with her, just pray/ at her shrine. Alright I'm up to the principle cathedral of the saint raid by the protagonists group is diligent. Personally, I find the Korean disposition of dealing so much death right after the character goes out of her way to talk about how nobody ever dies to Leo and the party normally to be pretty ridiculous when the preceeding events are all about her becoming closer to the party. Hey guys, not really manga but I’m looking for four manhwas and maybe a side manga

1. Had this healer party member that was really only interested in the gold and wanted to take leadership from the main character. Later on he switched sides to the assassins when everybody got separated in a labyrinth and they all got split because the girl had to find a way to stop the crushing mechanism. His backstabbing turned out to be a bluff though since he ends up turning on the female assassin leader who was using a poison dagger or something like that and he sided with the main character again as the hallway they were in got flooded

2. Manhwa where the main character has a system that lets him dodge a sure death scenario but it has a limit. I can’t remember if it was chance based but I know it was tied to a system. Also he sits and eats with a stoic black haired female classmate who’s stronger than him and even offers to help tag in once he ends up picking a fight with the seniors. The fight happens because his fellow classmates were getting trashed on by a senior girl with blonde hair I think and he calls her out on it and insults her after refusing to kneel to her and she runs away, after which another senior comes and the main character kicks him in the balls. The black hair girl helps him train as repayment for the lunches even though it hurts. The senior challenges him by throwing a glove at his desk and he switches out to another green hair dude when the duel begins I think and the main character eventually beats him up and forces him to tap out. After that the main character apologizes to the seniors for acting rashly because he didn’t realize they were getting extorted by the green hair dude and others (1/2)

Also the side manga was a manga that had a giant angel statue in a dungeon that the main character and another character were trying to sneak past but then there’s a shot of the female angel directly staring/glaring at them before attacking them, this one’s a bit of a lost cause though it was a while back

I think the problem is that most Japanese LNs worth reading get official translations these days rather than fan translations which make them slightly less accessible and easy for multiple anons to be reading at once.
