It got cut very early, unfortunately. Which is the exact opposite of Nisekoi overstaying its welcome by a year or two. Also, differnt genre, which makes comparisons very hard.
The art in Double Arts is definitely weaker (natural, since it was earlier in Komi's career). The worldbuilding is also rather one note - the vanishing plague and its consequences to society are interesting. Otherwise, it's largely a standard fantasy setting. Maybe it would get better along the road.
Yet most importantly, I felt that the characters and their interactions were truly a labour of love. The two leads in particular. And it was clear that Komi had a very specific, detailed plot all laid out. All in all, it's a fun read for an afternoon, that leaves you wanting more.
On the other hand, I enjoyed Nisekoi's early chapters a lot, but by the end of the first year of serialization the plot started spinning wheels and all the characters, while charming at first, had their quirks played out. I have only finished it due to the sunken cost fallacy. And Tsugumi being best girl. bake the cake, Onodera, that's what you get for failing to confess 666 times

I'm a seiyuu autist, so I like to imagine how characters of manga without anime would sound. I always imagined Ageha voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya and Sakurako voiced by M.A.O, and they are reasonable picks in these times imo, though I doubt they'll go with it.
Checked the Wikipedia page of Psyren and it mentions they were voiced by Takahiro Sakurai and Yui Horie in some Vomic, which is wild but highly improbable nowadays.

As hype as this is, from my experience adaptation of Jump manga who are past their prime don't tend to be especially good (look at the reboots of Shaman King/Houshin Engi and the second season of D.Gray-man) unless they're true classic like Dragon Quest: Adventure of Dai, so for I am concerned for the quality they could give to the animeation of an axed manga like Psyren.
