That's not too different from how I feel about Gochiusa. The anime is fantastic, but it's hard to motivate myself to keep up with the manga even if sometimes they have good chapters. There's no consistent sense of flow and tempo. Like every dialogue, joke, or serious moment is supposed to resolve in the fourth panel. But when the author has too many things to convey, they just fucking stuff so many sentences (spoken, whispered, and monologues no less) in the same panel in a way that ruins the flow and tempo. I mean, if you need to draw a proper story that flows well and not just a braindead slapstick comedy, perhaps don't use the 4-koma format?
On the other hand, Yuru Yuri has been awesome as always. The art is amazing (it's Namori after all), the comedy is great, and there's also some funny/dramatic comedic timings and paneling.
