I enjoyed watching this when it came out.
One thing it was not imo, was an iyashikei.
More like a pure atmospheric SoL.
So in that sense, it was a bit different. Since normally I'd assume based off the premise that it'd be an iyashikei-type of SoL.

Motegi is chapter 15-18 and volume 3. It would require a really slow pace not to get there.
I think ending with Kusatsu (26-31, volume 5) is the likeliest.

Based on typical cadence that manga adaptations follow we'll probably get two to three chapters per episode, which means we'll likely finish somewhere around the end of Volume 4 / the beginning of Volume 5, like >>281316210 suggests.
