Its a comentated diary from an 16/17th century executioner/torturer in germany and his daily life and the life of the avatage peasant from that time period
How much money the avarage worker makes in a year what he can buy with it how Honor and class worked and how executioners played vital roles in society such as healers since they are the ones who know the human body better than anyone else and at the same time where looked down upon and treated as outcast at the same time
The reason i bring it up is because there was one recorded case of a Brother and Sister being caught in an Incenstoud act and as punishment they where beaten and exiled from their village
So incestous relations between close family members even if they have grown up together are well recorded and have happend mutliple times throughout history which makes me doubt the whole westermarck effect
Its important to note that today we have significantly more options when it comes to who we want as a partner then back in the day
In my example the village where the sibling lives only has like 50 people living in them so there isnt much of a choice who you want to sleep with so maybe the Westermarck effect just gets overpowerd by human horniness over time
