Well we know it has to be more than 30:1 since Srajo said that's what it is on the 6th layer. Even at that amount of time dilation, Reg's entire time up in Orth would have been around a week. The math gets harder/impossible as they go down since they would also have been experiencing increasing time dilation, we don't know the time dilation ratios for all layers, and we also don't know exactly how long they spent on each layer. But I think it's pretty safe to assume that it has been less than a month on the 7th layer since Reg left.

TLanon mentioned that there is a distinction in the text between undernation and undernest. They're definitely related groups with shared imagery and an interest in the miko. But there may be some differences that make working for undernest more agreeable to Tepaste than the undernation.
That flashback was several years ago, those dudes with Tepaste were all wiped out, and Ozen calls the Orth nugget a sole survivor. So it might even be possible that undernest is a successor organization created after undernation was mostly wiped out.

I think it's related to the cycle. The miko is suppressing something at the bottom of the abyss. But she is only able to do it for so long (2000 years surface time) before it starts to fail, leading to things like the birthday sickness and whatever mass casualty event caused the praying skeletons. I wouldn't count the pants. Kirinia's looked even more cobbled together than his, so it's possible their pants weren't even from their original creator. And the asymmetry on his could either be a /fa/ thing or the result of them getting patched up after being damaged.
But you are right that the ring is offset too. The concavity on it aligns with the lens on his helmet, just like Kirinia's. So, like the helmet, it was definitely built that way on purpose for some reason.
If it weren't for that extra chunk welded on to the side of his helmet to compensate for the fact that the offset would expose the right side of his head, I'd just say all of it was an aesthetic choice in-universe too. There's nothing strictly better about having the lens on your robot's helmet centered vs off to the side. But that extra hunk of metal does make it seem like his creator made his helmet and ring and realized they'd goofed and needed to fix his helmet.
But Reg's actual body is completely symmetrical. Or was before Bondrewd anyway. So I'm skeptical of the idea that he was a crudely manufactured prototype compared to Kirinia. The more we see of Orth's delvers, the better I think of them. In the beginning they're framed almost like villains with their child labor and corrupt government and narehate extermination policy and every white whistle being at least somewhat unhinged. But so far they appear to be the least shitty of all the factions involved with the abyss.
What little we know of foreign powers paints their interest in the abyss as scramble for Africa tier imperialism and foreign delvers are murderous sociopaths as a general rule. Ganja weren't that bad of people morally aside from the baby eating, but they were incompetent wackadoodle cultists. And now we've got the undernest/nation who are also wackadoodle cultists and are apparently fucked up enough that even Orth delvers look down upon their treatment of children.
The Orth delvers are the only ones that manage to achieve both a sense of professionalism and some semblance of traditional morality. Guys like Habo, Jirou, and this Pieruzo fellow all seem like genuinely good, capable, and trustworthy people. Ozen's gaggle of retards are just dirty and crass, but otherwise decent guys. I'll be honest, tradition and readability are stuff I've been trading. Like, I like having the SFX be visible, but tilting your head 90 degrees to read something is awkward, so in cases where the SFX is flat enough I've been putting it on it like this. But, I do think in cases like this the previous TS did the same, but I did started doing things (I'll show later) which aren't as standard, which I'm down to change back to normal if there's issues

Talking about that, I mixed a bit fonts and flipped some stuff trying to show the "distortion", but whenever I start doing that I always think it quickly becomes tacky, unsure if this is already too much.

I've always done the same SFX colours and background for the actual SFX, but sometimes it's hard to read, might've gone too far, like the metallic and chiming noises. I did put it at the side first, but for some reason it looked more readable on the inside, might change to just black outline to the outside later.
And again, different way of showing Burst Donor, now center stage and Arabuki smaller. Either this style or what I did first would need to be consistent.

The TL guide doesn't have anything about stuff like this. That was formed from asking questions directly from the previous TSer, but that mainly concerned general font choices and such, nothing about certain specifics.
As for the more general topic of keeping tradition or not, well, I was the one which spearheaded the idea of making a guide in the first place and figuring out fonts, it was the other TSer which actually put it in a guide. But, the more chapters I typeset on, I realize this can't be something properly guided, and you need to choose slightly different approaches for different scenarios.

I do sometimes that, but I feel if the bubble is too vertical it looks off, it basically turns into a plus at that rate.

I think it's a self deprecating way to say she's extremely careful, to the point of hiding a multitude of secrets and probably only taking conflicts she knows she can win. She has this loud personality but is very calculating and has a reputation for not taking risks. I recently re-read the chapter where she and Bondrewd argue and he remarks that it doesn't seem like her to take the Final Dive on a whim or rumor, so there must be a reason she's down here (looking for a lost member of her crew).

Both the Tama-chan and Tenmaku attacks make a very strong case for an increased emphasis on dynamic encounters with roaming entities. And having things actually react to sounds and smells and the forcefield like a more fleshed out version of the cut piss mechanic would really add to the survival aspect. You're running low on food, but you have to question whether it's safe to hunt something because you might draw some horrible predator. On upper layers you could scout around to see if it's safe. But then you get to this invisible fucker and just have to roll the dice.
I know it's never going to happen. But a way more polished sequel could be one of the best games ever.

Even if they're not all made from people; there does seem to be a correlation between the sophistication of relics and the incorporation of biological components.
The most basic relics are just raw materials from the abyss or simple amalgamations thereof with varying levels of craftsmanship; Riko's umbrella, Lyza's pickaxe, the crumple pot, the soap. A step up from that are pieces of sophisticated machinery made from complex combinations of these inert relics like basically everything that Bondrewd uses.
But then you start getting in to incorporation of living creatures, like the zoaholic and especially the cartridges. With cartridges you've got a living person whose altered body has been grafted into an otherwise mechanical relic to make a new composite relic. While not as explicit as a life reverberating stone, the human used in a cartridge is arguably already being turned in to a relic, just in a crude fashion.
These guns appear to be the next step beyond that; relic induced flesh crafting. They are to cartridges what third works are to Lyza's pickaxe, a more sophisticated and complex application on the same principle.
And I think the ultimate relics you get from this trend are the pseudo-biological interference units like Reg and Kirinia.
