I generally don't pause anime. Sometimes something will come up in an episode that I feel like looking up, and I know that if I wait I'll probably forget about it. So I'll pause then but typically I'll open up a new browser window to avoid seeing any /a/ tabs or other tabs that might distract me.

My moon is now at a level that I can get the gist of most stuff without subtitles. This does not apply to jargon heavy infodumps.
I then tried to watch the evening NHK news and I was completely lost. The speed, tone and obviously jargon/vocab is entirely different.

I have a compulsion, I get a sense of satisfaction from seeing my "watched shows" number grow. I'd watch it at regular speed, but I can't keep up, like, I can read the subtitles of both shows at that speed, but it doesn't give me enough time to mentally contextualise them with the corresponding show.

Its quite often referring to other isekais "those other heroes always wanted to go back." etc, quite deconstructive, the fact that they don't have any cheat skills aside from gaming prowess is pretty much deconstructive in an essence, most isekai gave their protagonists OP powers. Re:Zero Kara is probably one of the first few that did the whole loop-back time travel thing after death. Subaru doesn't get stronger with each timeloop, he just knows a bit more about the world, Subaru never becomes so OP he could ever solo anything, he has to rely on others to do that for him.
